~ Thankful Thursday ~



I'm so lame ~ I've been an absentee blogger of the worse kind. I've spent more time reading then writing, well at least for this blog. I've got several things roaming around in my head for this blog but don't seem to ever get them onto the page. Hmm, wonder whats up with that. I've been neglectful too. I've received a "thinking blog" nomination and haven't posted. I even failed to post my finish for the Spring Reading Thingy ~ which I finished but didn't get entered in the drawings b/c I forgot. ;D I had even created a draft post. Go figure, but instead of being too down on myself, I will update now with my thankfulness then I'll do a post for the thinking blog ~ wow its an honor. ;D

So my list is this ~ I'm thankful for:
~ the ability to write something that allows others to think
~ for the ability to share my thoughts
~ for the wisdom that the Lord has placed in me and continues to nourish
~ for the ability to drive a rental car though driving is becoming my nemesis ;D
~ for PBS Mystery ~ I love Miss Marples and she's back
~ for my swap partners ~ they sent great packages
~ for friends like Leslie ~ who love, respect and encourage you just by being your friend
~ for my best friend Carmen ~ who has agreed to go on a cruise w/me ;D
~ for the rain but more for the sunshine of the past 2 days

well, thats all for now for my heart is full of my thankful thoughts and I'm off to ponder the wonders of my God who made all these things possible.

~ Thankful Thursday ~


"You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!" Psalm 30:12 NLT

Its been a very productive week and I'm just thankful for the privilege to live it. I don't have many specific things to be thankful for but I am thankful for the opportunity to just be. As I ponder what I could share with you, I realize I just want you all to know that giving thanks to my Lord and King is the most important thing I want to do. Without Him I truly am nothing, because of Him I am blessed and knowing Him has made my life truly full. So, I give thanks, with a grateful heart, to the one and only ~ my Lord and Savior. For He alone is worthy of all my praise.

My little specifics of the week:
1. My dentist ~ no more pain and inexpensive caring. ;D
2. My dh ~ for the many gifts he's given me this month including my recent one, a Razr V3.
3. Movies ~ advance showings at midnight. PofC3 Woohoo!!

~ Thankful Thursday ~


Wow, its been a while since I participated in this here meme, but I am thankful I'm able to share again though. Last week, I had a bunch to say. Unfortunately, my peri-menopause state has taken over and I don't remember what I was planning to write. Hmm, well I am very thankful that though I can't remember as I once did, I am still able to function and my short-term memory is working. LOL

So without further ado, here is my thankfulness list.
~ opportunity to volunteer at the LPGA
~ to serve and make new friends
~ the ability to give my oldest dd a love gift each day til her b-day - She's 19yo, yeah!
~ the friend who blessed my daughter w/a digital camera
~ to see/hear and work for Michael W. Smith - it was awesome
~ my SP10, she is awesome - she sent me a lovely red package which brighten my day.
~ for Iris, the hostess for this wonderful meme - her "TT" post made me smile.
~ for God's presence in the midst of my chaos and the assurance that He will be with me all next week during my whirlwind of activity.

~ My Swap Package ~


Woohoo! I got my package from my KTC Swap partner. Yes sir, that there package was very nice, if I say so myself. Looka here, see all thats inside, then go on over and show some love to Pooch for being such a blessing. ;)

Books ~ Knit One, Kill Two & Unashamed

Goodie Bag ~ Stitch Counter, Christmas Stocking Point Protectors, Darning Needles w/case and Topaz colored Stitch Markers

Inside Book ~ Book Thong marker

Yarn Love ~ 16 oz of 100% Rayon in Green, Gold, Purple and ..... I'll take another pic once I wound it.


I am truly blessed and look forward to reading my books. I have both of these on my TBR list and K1K2 is ready for pickup at the library. LOL The stitch markers are special to me because they are my birthstone color. I had just been contemplating whether to buy the darning needle kit. Looks like I won't have to. Now that Book Thong ~ now thats something one doesn't see very often. Its great and I'm going to enjoy using it. ;D
