Ponderings....

Its time to get back into the swing of things. I believe I've been on mental vacation for long enough. I've neglected my personal studies but I've grown in other areas. I've enriched my life by learning new skills, making new friends and simply enjoying myself. So in other words ~ I'm back.

I'm planning my "mother culture" reading list, planning new things to blog about, looking forward to a wonderful school year w/my dc. Only 2 left and both are interested in seeking college admittance. I'm excited for both of them, they are really good and deserve the very best that our Lord has for them. I'm realizing that I fall short because I fail to take what is rightfully mine and work from there. I've spent quite abit of time pondering why things aren't the way they should be and I realize that I'd lost my joy. Now I know it possible, it has happened before but it was truly interesting to realize as I prepared for my day, that was the main issue with me. I was singing and each song I sang from memory centered around His joy. My favorite scripture is ~ "the joy of the Lord is my strength," but it hadn't been for quite sometime and its all my fault.

One of my new things will be theme's of study. I will pick a topic/subject/scripture/word and study it to apply it to my life. I will share here as often as the Spirit will allow, no need to burden you all with my musings if they are only meant for me. This week's theme is "Joy." It is a timely study as we begin our new school year and I want it to be successful. I want to "show ourselves approved" by studying and applying the Word of God to our lives not just the academic stuff the world thinks is more important. I know that the knowledge of who He is and His Word are the vital life of each of us and I want this to be more and more a part of what we do and learn. Enjoy your day.

~ Be Blessed ~

Lord, I desire to walk in the fullness of what you've done for me. Help me to understand and to continue to walk in your truth, your wisdom, and your strength. I honor you and praise you for being my Lord and Savior. May I walk worthy of the calling which you have set before me.

God's Blessings,

Dear Sister,

How are you? I haven't talked with you in ages (seem's like), but have been thinking about you. I was over at your blog(s) and wondered what you were up to. I pray that your prayer to know Him and His word more deeply will be answered. You are a gift to me and I think about you often. May the Lord richly bless you this day and give you His peace.
