~ Thankful Thursday ~


"All praise and honor is due Him,
and Him alone."

Wow, I'm actually doing mine early ~ yes folks its 12:26am central. Heehee! I've alot to be thankful this round. There is so much but I'll keep it short, promise.


1. Working A/C ~ now let me tell you, this is really something to be thankful for. You know its a true bummer to get a $200+ bill and you are hot and sticky. My a/c has been serviced, I'm cool as a cucumber and lovin' it.

2. Arts & Crafts ~ for they've given me a new outlook on life and the opportunity to make new friends. I'm, at least I think I am, more relaxed. I enjoy sitting around w/my yarn, cds and my kiddos simply being myself. Making things for others is really gratifying and I'm so glad I can.

3. Coffee ~ a good, strong flavorful cup. yelp, thats what I'm talking about. I have been running fast and hard but I've slowed down just long enough to enjoy a good cup of java. Along the way, I've been able to take time to smell the beans themselves. Now thats livin'!

4. Friends ~ especially those who are always on the lookout for your best interest. My dh's former boss is such a friend. He is working hard to get our family into a better home, which would mean relocating but thats no big deal right?! but the best part is ~ he has been giving us needed gifts. We took a road trip to visit him and then we visited the house he found for us. Then he sent us home with a computer, which btw we truly did need. Now if I could figure out how to keep the dc from hmm...maybe we can put it in our room. ;D

5. Goodies in the mail ~ I've joined a few swaps and have gotten some really cool stuff in the mail. Check out my Wordless Wednesday post for starters. I'm so glad I took a chance to join these, I've made some new friends and gotten some really great things including lovely yarn. You'll have to read my craft blog to see what I'm making w/my new yarn.

~ Thankful Thursday ~



I'm so lame ~ I've been an absentee blogger of the worse kind. I've spent more time reading then writing, well at least for this blog. I've got several things roaming around in my head for this blog but don't seem to ever get them onto the page. Hmm, wonder whats up with that. I've been neglectful too. I've received a "thinking blog" nomination and haven't posted. I even failed to post my finish for the Spring Reading Thingy ~ which I finished but didn't get entered in the drawings b/c I forgot. ;D I had even created a draft post. Go figure, but instead of being too down on myself, I will update now with my thankfulness then I'll do a post for the thinking blog ~ wow its an honor. ;D

So my list is this ~ I'm thankful for:
~ the ability to write something that allows others to think
~ for the ability to share my thoughts
~ for the wisdom that the Lord has placed in me and continues to nourish
~ for the ability to drive a rental car though driving is becoming my nemesis ;D
~ for PBS Mystery ~ I love Miss Marples and she's back
~ for my swap partners ~ they sent great packages
~ for friends like Leslie ~ who love, respect and encourage you just by being your friend
~ for my best friend Carmen ~ who has agreed to go on a cruise w/me ;D
~ for the rain but more for the sunshine of the past 2 days

well, thats all for now for my heart is full of my thankful thoughts and I'm off to ponder the wonders of my God who made all these things possible.

~ Thankful Thursday ~


Count your blessings ~ one by one ~

being grateful for them all and giving thanks.

Oh, I've not shared in a while and there have been some amazing things happening in my life. I'll try to recap in a brief style of what I'm most thankful for in the past 3 wks, there may be more later.

The opportunity to drive to NC in early June, to visit with friends, to see the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains again, to have my oldest daughter ride with me, meeting people I've met online and making new friends, for Thrifty rental ~ making my life much easier without my own car, my dh for allowing me to go on my trip ~ providing minutes for my cell phone ~ for understanding that I needed time away from home, the ability to work at a concert and hear one of my fav artist ~ Chris Rice, sharing my faith with others, spending time alone with God, reading books by authors I've never known ~ I'm lovin' Maisie Dobbs, getting books in my fav series ~ SisterChicks ;D, for the gift of giving, and most of all, for the love of my family, my God and those who are near and dear to my heart.
